Even in the blast of intense weather there’s a quiet whispering calm weaving its way into our consciousness as the solar system shifts toward a new season in part due to Lammas, a day recognized and celebrated throughout the Northern Hemisphere that’s the midpoint between the Summer Solstice and Autumn Equinox. Religions celebrate it on Tuesday, August 1 although it’s actually when the Sun is at 15 degrees Leo. Various religions honor the time with celebrations often called Fire Festivals with other names such as Lúnasa and Lughnasadh. This is also Loaf Mass day in Catholicism when loaves of bread represent harvested grain.
This Lammas Full Moon in Aquarius is also another Supermoon presenting the energy of fullness and completion. Acknowledging the rays helps to connect with what you have as a building block for going forward. A simple thanks and lighting of a candle suffices though many gather to honor in bigger ways connections to higher energies of gods and goddesses and the angelic realms. It’s a way of saying you made it this far and now on your way forward.
Also on Tuesday Mercury opposes Saturn giving energy of necessity to think methodically and with impunity. Many will be of a serious mindset this week as ponderings of what the future holds seems to shadow all activities.
Mars trine Jupiter this day helps to have breakthroughs of hope and sensing something good in the offing.
On Sunday the Sun and Jupiter square that prods you to think creatively and strive toward what is yet to be revealed.
With the Moon in its waning phase a key to success this week is working on structure and reorganization. Making lists and rethinking priorities is helpful.
