Mercury Retrograde, November 16, 2018

It's best to get any business done before Mercury retrogrades at 8:33 PM on November 16, 2018 for three weeks. Of course, you can still do quite well during that time by being thorough and double checking as you go along. Things won't be quite as intense as the last cycle as if was nearer the eclipses and a few other celestial factors. This is in Sagittarius that governs travel, communication, legalities, formal contracts, and religion, this includes religious and educational institutions.

Astrology August 20-26, 2018

Highlights from weekly column:

Celestial Compass for the Week of August 20-26, 2018
From Sandra Helton

All Systems are Go for Giving Life a Great Boost
At the Point of Heaven and Earth

With Mercury now direct everyone is breathing a sigh of relief. Its connection to Mars and eclipses caused more than the usual havoc and disturbances and even though direct it’s still slow and calling for further caution and mindfulness as you proceed ahead and work on restoration of plans, work, and your direction.

The Sun will form important angles and enter Virgo for a month that will further help to regain order and discipline with everything from small everyday tasks to major overhauls of your lifestyle. These angles are positive and help to build a good foundation as we move toward the Full Moon in Pisces on Sunday. Everything may not be exactly full steam ahead but much is on the way to regaining a workable direction.

Significant this week is strong Earth energy that is brought forth due to the Virgo Sun that’s in this element and also both trines from the Sun to outer planets are Earth. Saturn is in Capricorn and Uranus is in Taurus so these will all create reliable building blocks.

Full Blood Moon Eclipse, July 27, 2018

Peaking at 4:20PM ET is the big event further emphasized by Mars opposition and a few other intense cosmic angles. I wrote about it in this week’s column relating to wild communication that’s been in effect for a while due to the 3 eclipses in a row, and yet there’s another aspect to this powerful vibration. The higher octave of Aquarius is humanitarian, group think, equality and numerous other manifestations. The flip side is sterility and coldness while the best side is consideration for all through unity. This is a 3 minute video that expresses the higher aspect of Aquarius that is a bit abstract (also an Aquarian thing) and stretches outside ordinary human quotient. This is an example of a service animal that in this instance is a volunteer dedication of a cat to a dog that was in need of nurturing due to suffering separation anxiety. It’s a great story and example of the power of connecting through the spirit. As we wander into and through this eclipse and on into the next that’s a solar eclipse in Leo it benefits you to connect to the energy that supports you through where you feel comfortable and at peace. From that eclipse time and with Mercury retrograde, for the next 2wks is great for going within and connecting to that which is your own safe harbor. As the Aquarian Age approached many hoped it would bring what it represents – peace and togetherness through understanding. That isn’t quite happening though you can create your own oasis for it to manifest. This is an exemplary story of just that.

Scorpio Moon & Spiders

JULY 20, 2018 SCORPIO MOON

So much rain here that it seems insects are now a natural part of my home with one, maybe two huge spiders in the kitchen. Hoping it/they find the other bugs to their liking. So far, the spiders and I are cohabiting well and yet I wonder about the time of many wee ones – but then that’s for another day. This comes with living rural, or in NYC. With the Scorpio Moon until Sunday it’s natural to think deep about life and to connect with covert aspects including the lesser seen in nature. The big old spider isn’t so covert as he/she is right there not too far from my coffee machine every morning, politely (my preferred way of see it) moving out of my way when I need to be in its space. With a Scorpio frame of mind, here’s an interesting fact about spiders..they can launch themselves into the air using electric fields as a form of propulsion. These fields that occur naturally in Earth's atmosphere are linked to cosmic rays and solar activity. Not knowing why, they often take flight when the air is calm, and large spiders even fly when air currents are insufficient to support their weight. (If my kitchen spider grows anymore I'll let you know ...... where I've moved.)

Solar Eclipse July 12, 2018

WEDNESDAY, JULY 11, 2018, LEO/CANCER MOON

The Solar Eclipse is here!
It’s happening with the New Moon in Cancer July 12, 10:48PM EDT. I’ve written about it with details for the day, and week. Much in the news relating to the eclipse that also governs children – the boys trapped in the cave, children reuniting with parents, a baby found abandoned in a forest, and more throughout the world. This is our time to reconnect to our own source of comfort and nurturance. Emotions are highly sensitized and will be for a while. This is the first of three eclipses in a row – always free details on the site.

Astrology for June 18-24, 2018

Your Celestial Compass for the Week of June 18-24, 2018 from Sandra Helton

The Sun Enters Cancer and the Powerful Day of the Summer Solstice

Throughout history, earthly turning points in relation to the Sun have been significant, and as science has advanced it’s even more evident how powerful these days are. This week we experience the Summer Solstice which is when the Sun enters the zodiacal sign of Cancer and launches a new season. This is the midpoint between the beginning of spring and fall, and the counterpoint to the Winter Solstice. Commonly it’s is a time of great growth when all vegetation is in bloom and animals in nature have given birth to their young. Birds are in flight, harvests are underway, and our home planet teems with life. This is global and also happens within you in a very personal way. The more you connect with nature the more you are strengthened within. Acknowledgement is a way to begin that alignment.

Follow along each day to see and understand lunar and planet movements and their influence on life on earth. The weekly column is here:

Sandra’s Celestial Compass for May 28 to June 3, 2018

The Full Moon in Sagittarius with Mercury in Gemini Instigates Action

The lunar tide rises to a peak this week in always expanding consciousness Sagittarius. From then, Mercury is in Gemini until June 12 that is a great placement as it’s the signs ruling planet. Both Sagittarius and Gemini are energies of movement so there is an ever-flowing instigation to get going and be more on the go. You can be on the go either literally or via your mind and extended communication. There are very nice planet connections that promote fulfillment and ways to make a difference. A busy mind and lots to do is felt and while many are actually busier than usual and will escalate into the first half of June, others may not be as much physically on the go, but certainly are busy with thoughts and ideas and seeking new information.
