Happy Spring Equinox!
Here’s hoping everyone had an opportunity to take a few moments and tune to the eclipse energy that captivated so many around the world. Alone, it was quite a phenomenon and from an energetic and esoteric view it continues to be profound, fitting into the theme of this era of the sense and changing lifestyles unfolding for most. Some much happens these days that seems to overshadow individual events, even to the degree that holidays seem to pass by without the depth and meaning they once held. Daily and even hourly bombardment of news seems to lead society, pushing everyone toward following rather than being empowered through knowledge. This is the lot of the Age of Aquarius intensified by outer planetary placements which is a kind of separation and fragmenting impulse unless one is strong in their individuality. That the recent eclipse held people’s attention is good in that it was unifying and for moments allowed “just that” to occupy our minds. The aftermath of that is the theme of this week’s cosmic rays of influence, somewhat like the calm after a storm. Just before the equinox on Thursday the Sun and Neptune conjunct in Pisces and shortly after, on Saturday the Sun in a new sign conjuncts Venus. The equinox is like a doorway that this year has strong rays on both sides. On Thursday the Sun moves into Aries that is the official New Year in the zodiacal world as it’s the beginning of the cycle of the Suns progression through the 12 signs. It’s a powerful day representing the advent of birth and rebirth. You’re called to connect both within and outward in whichever way best represents who you are from your strongest vantage point and with intention.
The Spring Equinox happens at 5:02 AM and is the halfway point from the past Winter Solstice and the upcoming Summer Solstice. It occurs each year when the Sun moves into the sign Aries at zero degrees and begins its onward path through the constellations. New beginnings and planting seeds you want to flourish are activities you may want to initiate on this day. Here in the Northern Hemisphere it starts the germination of life and instigates nature to birth and spring forth new life. It’s really a powerful day for setting a pace for action akin to New Year resolutions although you have the Earth and solar system, the Sun and the heavens supporting you. Allow latitude to be creative in honor of what you want to do. Many quietly make declarations while many hold rituals and celebrations to revel in the planets rebirth.
