Another busy day in the heavens. The New Moon in Aquarius is also a Solar Eclipse visible in lower parts of South America, Antarctica and far south in the South Pacific and South Atlantic. It peaks at 4:05 PM ET. This is begins a 2wk growth cycle that benefits connectedness throughout the world. You can build and grow and take progressive steps. The eclipse is concludes the axis of the 2 eclipses in Leo, lunar last January 31 that calls for attention due to it also being a Blue, Super, and Blood Moon. That ray continued influence up until today and as part of the axis will flow on throughout the rest of the month. Leo and Aquarius are opposite signs that are often eclipse placements. Knowing how you’re connected outside yourself helps to stay focused in the mix of so much happening. There’s a solar flare that may have a subtle impact on neurological function and body rhythms. Today is the quarter point in the heavens between the Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox when the Sun is in Aquarius. The name itself explains much – candle = flame and mas = mass or celebration. The Earth begins the first signs of rebirth and life. All of nature stirs to awaken through budding of trees and many animals begin preparing to start families. To be in sync with this time of year, many celebrate by lighting bon fires and having church services to pay reverence. This is a wonderful time to align with nature and acknowledge the great awakening that is also within you. A single candle flame is sufficient. Having a meal with intention, accepting that you will be moving forward into a new time of greater light and blessings is also sufficient. If you find a bunch of people frolicking on a hillside with torches then great! Otherwise, your own personal moment of connecting is just as meaningful.

...LEADING INTO FRIDAY AND THE MOON IN SAGITTARIUS FROM 2:04 AM ET

 

Mercury in Capricorn until January 31 is good for getting to the bottom of things due to strengthened ability to focus and be logical. Serious, pragmatic conversations take place and your mind tends toward thoughts about security and management of your foundations. Friday, no angles from the Moon or planets and you’re motivated to think with hope and inspiration. Leading into tomorrow, Mercury conjunct Saturn further adds to serious thought.  Venus and Uranus also remind you of any issues with associations that may need to be addressed or else you might take a backseat to avoid unnecessary surprise or confrontation. By Sunday, the Sun forms the same angle to Uranus. Overall, you’re under a celestial influence of prodding, startling, and experiencing the unexpected. An example from my own diary is that, on my way home this evening I had to detour because the end of my street was blocked by police. I took another route and made it home safely. There had been an accident (Mercury and the unexpected Uranus) when a car approached the top of the hill just as a car from the side street was entering the road. Collision! It seems no one was hurt. That’s a blind spot and while I always stop before turning in, most driving behind me are unhappy about it. Mercury, in addition to ruling travel that is also ruled by Sagittarius, is communication, again, ruled by Sagittarius, which gives an idea of the energy afoot now and throughout Saturday and Sunday. How to work with it? Pay attention to what stresses you and be aware of your surroundings. You gain by study, recognizing and honoring your intuition. Before that event, I had unexpected and unusual encounters that weren’t negative though were out of the ordinary, for me anyway.
