May, 2016 .. Jupiter-Saturn Influence

We’re under the influence of a Jupiter-Saturn alignment that is part of the significant cardinal cross which occurred and caused all kinds of upheaval around the world. It was also during the time a couple of years back with the 4 blood moons and other phenomena that intently held our attention. Tomorrow the angle is exact, meaning it’s at a peak although the influence is already here and will residually linger. I’ve written about the information in the column that can be applied to observation of world events and also given an interpretation for each of the 12 zodiacal signs. As you read, also read your ascendant (rising sign) if you know it for additional information. Jupiter is in Virgo and Saturn is in Sagittarius. These planets are in conflict yet have a link that allows them to open doors if you pay attention to the subtleties. Saturn is known as the Lord of Karma and governs time, it’s a very grounding and in some instances debilitating vibration that is Sagittarius is challenging because Sagittarius is the opposite of anything limiting. The ruler of Sagittarius is Jupiter, is significant as it helps to expand or open doors to the directional and often regimented activity of Virgo. The world en masse has responded during the past several years through beliefs and religion, justice or the lack of it, and several factors relating to legalities and governments that have impacted us all by extreme acts of destruction, protests, and political shifts. For the individual (that’s us) there is a sense of need to manage and maintain what’s working and seek ways to expand within those structures.

The Taurus New Moon begins an upward cycle until the Sagittarius Full Moon on May 21. Energy builds. This is a time to ride the wave of your goals and toward your visions.

Right now, 5 planets are retrograde until May 12 when Jupiter turns direct. This includes Mercury in Taurus. It's an introspective and reflective to go within and explore your deepest thoughts and desires. Discovery can be liberating.

MAY DAY: In addition to being a day celebrating the onset of spring and honored by Pagans and Wiccans, it’s also a day to honor the working forces.

MOTHER GOOSE DAY: Created only recently, as a day to appreciate nursery rhymes and stories. The term, Mother Goose, dates back to the 1650’s and is the source of fairy tales that today represents.

Save a Rhino Day: Inhabitants of the earth for over a million years, they have been hunted for sport to near extinction.

LOYALTY DAY: Kind of speaks for itself. Honoring here you feel allegiance to anyone of something is the purpose. That’s become a daily process for many with social media affording us the opportunity. 

April 29, 2016 Venus in Taurus

APRIL 29, 2016 LAST QUARTER..AQUARIUS MOON..VENUS IN TAURUS

From today until May 24 Venus transits Taurus that is a great placement because it’s the natural planet ruler of the sign. This weeks column explains much that helps to know how to work with the energy. Desire for fulfillment is strong.

  

We now have 5 planets in Retrograde motion until May 12 when Jupiter goes Direct again. That’s half the solar system! This causes a sense of pausing when in some instances little is accomplished, and also may create indecision. Striving to maintain a reasonable routine and staying on schedule helps to keep moving and is an excellent way to handle Mercury Retrograde in Taurus for the next three weeks. 

This is also the Last Quarter Moon in Aquarius that calls for tweaking and making adjustments to smooth out issues with others. A small effort can also lessen stress.

APRIL 28, 2016 - Mercury Retrograde in Taurus

Mercury is retrograde in Taurus from 1:12 PM today until May 22 making the total of retrograde planets now until Jupiter turns direct on May 9. This last occurred 10 years ago and it indicative of a sense that the world has slowed and many are paused. Deep inner rumbling is individual based on what you have personally stored in your subconscious that remains unresolved. Retrogrades of Mercury this year are in earth signs that continually throughout the year will remind you of finances and the overt world. Lifestyle, structures, work dynamics and all that is your everyday living becomes either an issue or something that you rework and align for smoother sailing. Right now this cycle is about the flow of money and everything you consider valuable. These three weeks are great for organizing it all, and also for organizing your life in general. Take a day at a time so that the energy from the 5 retrogrades are not causing you to feel overwhelmed. The root is how you feel and how you relate to what you value. Taurus can be a most gracious and pleasant energy and when it goes awry is overly materialistic. You may encounter both energies and will need to use discernment to determine the best way to deal with it. People are uneasy and yet not quite able to move forward as desired. If you feel you are on hold or have encountered a setback you may want to use the slower time to regroup your thoughts and realign with what you truly want to do.

Full Moon April 2016 & Prince

The Moon enters Scorpio yesterday that aligned with the rising sign, ascendant, of Prince who passed to spirit. I may post his birth chart at a later time but prefer to respect him by simply adding his symbol in the center of this chart for today's Full Moon. He lived his earthly life as a Gemini that symbolizes the messenger which he truly was. He was highly sensitive with his Moon of feelings in Pisces and his rising sign Scorpio - both water signs. Gemini being a dual sign was his true expression and I appreciate his expression of his spirituality.
