Astrology for January 18-24, 2010
• This week I discuss the abundant Aquarius energy and give dates and time for new beginnings in my weekly column, Your Celestial Compass. Mentioned briefly is the astrological chart for Haiti. Here is an excerpt:
Mercury is now direct allowing for easier communication and smoother progress. Venus, the Sun and Neptune are in Aquarius creating an ideal condition for positive and life affirming manifestations.
The chart of Haiti reveals its Sun is in Capricorn that is receiving a transit of Pluto. This does not mean that all Capricorn places and people will be having such intense experiences but all Capricorns are and will experience powerful awakenings at the least. In addition, for all signs, where you have Capricorn in your personal birth chart brings Pluto vibrations and a need for change.
Planetary changes for each day of the week are given plus an affirmation and thought for meditation.

• Over the past two days, NASA's STEREO-B spacecraft has detected two eruptions from an active region just behind the sun's eastern limb. The source of the blasts appears to be old sunspot 1039. The sun's rotation will begin turning the spot toward Earth this week, so there could be some Earth-directed solar activity in the offing.
