ASTROLOGY BRIEF for APRIL 21-27, 2025

"Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom." – Aristotle

Even though at the time of this publication Easter has come and gone, there’s a lingering and strongly resonating energy about the concept and history of the resurrection. Many seem more interested this year about ideas of rebirth, renewal and moving forward into newness. The weariness of the world looms, being kept prominent with continual media “news” and pontifications that as well calls for sorting through fact from fiction and where to rest into a trustworthy reality.  At the end of this week, on Sunday is the New Moon in Taurus that will help to find ways to settle into a more peaceful life especially if you establish your priorities of meaning and purpose over trying to keep pace with the outside world. All week while the lunar tide diminishes it’s about going within and embracing inner feelings. Midweek the Taurus Sun will square Pluto in Aquarius creating that very need – to keep your priorities in good order and not be pulled into any volatile situations. Taurean energy is about more than money and opulence but also about self-worth and values that is part of this time of resurrection. It’s not about what matters but also why something matters. Venus and Saturn connect in Pisces that spiritually grounds and is a reminder of the weight of your spirituality in the mix of life. Toward the end of the week, Mars in Leo opposes Pluto in Aquarius creating tension and a need to be mindful of where you put your energy and how you respond to pressure. In some instances people will rethink much before making decisions which is good as its follow the New Moon when actions are best initiated. Introspection and self-realization is a theme to think about.

ASTROLOGY BRIEF for APRIL 14-20, 2025

“There is a time to speak and a time to keep silent.” —Ecclesiastes 3:7

The Moon this week is in what’s called a waning gibbous phase and waning Moons rise later as the days go by. This leads to seeing a daytime Moon that will appear pale against a blue sky in the western horizon. It will appear very big though an illusion. I recall seeing those Moons as a child and was totally captivated by them. To me then it was an enigma wherein time stood still.

We have quite a number of major planetary angles occurring that even though this is a somewhat “quiet” week as the lunar tide wanes there’s an undercurrent of celestial activity stirring all life to sit-up and take note of the world. There’s a kind of pause and call to regroup as well as rethink everything.

Mars in Leo beginning Friday will set in motion desires and passions that will be in the mix of “rethinking” life and priorities which in a way are good as it will help to settle societal pressures to concede to group thinking that has led in some instances to feeling oppressed. This will be ongoing for a few weeks.

Mercury and Neptune in Aries will also help to “think outside the box” and venture more within and toward individual creative awareness. It’s certainly a week to more easily tap into intuition and spiritual perspectives. Mercury in Aries during specific upcoming days will certainly be interesting. What were you thinking? What are you thinking? And, what will you think?

The in-depth column on Patreon for this week includes: Mercury’s transit in Aries with Mercury and Neptune aligned; the Sun in Taurus for a month; several major planet alignments; and the lengthy transit of Mars through Leo. Finalizing the week is the Quarter Moon in Aquarius influence lasting until April 27. Specifics are on the private Patreon site that includes an affirmation designed based on current cosmic energies. https://www.patreon.com/c/AstrologySandraHelton

ASTROLOGY BRIEF for APRIL 7-13, 2025

“For we walk by faith and not by sight.”  2 Corinthians, 5:7

Mercury and Venus turning direct from retrograde motion in Pisces helps to see more clearly and move forward in a progressive way. Our solar system is an extension of influence a bit like riding a train that while in a certain car (Earth), all the cars are attached and moving along a specific path. We’re now fully in the Age of Aquarius and Pluto transiting through the sign triggers anxiety in society and powerful needs for greater understanding. While Pluto was in Capricorn I spoke many times about the influence which was the rebirth of nations, leaders, major corporations and major life structures being played out. Now, this rebirth is playing out through areas governed by Aquarius which is society, associations and friendships. Major change is happening far and wide and very near meaning we can see and experience gentle rebirth and more extremely chaos within those arenas if resistance is chosen. Denial resulting from such massive change is in part the chaos that is helped to lessen by embracing change itself. Change itself is often an uncomfortable process so to ease the intensity it’s good to look to the other energies afoot to not only provide solace but also answers. Right now Mercury and Venus are with Saturn in Pisces that can provide grounding of beliefs. Neptune, the planet of spirituality has moved into Aries opening personal doors to the inner psyche, the subconscious and all matters relating to the more shadowy world of other realms. You are called, from a best scenario to think for yourself that’s romanticized and enriched by the current energy of Mercury and Venus. These are personal planets in that they govern personal aspects of your life – Mercury is about communicating and connecting intellectually and Venus is about bonds through affection, love and desire and in Pisces ones beliefs are not just personal but also aspects of the spirit or essence of life. Finding calm, inner peace and order is helped by seeking to understand motivation from that perspective. What you believe and what you desire (ideally as a passion) leads the way into the clarity and order of Neptune in Aries. Very basically, thinking for yourself rather than “blind” faith is a beneficial key. Faith is strengthened by embracing your individual spirituality and higher motivations.

The Biblical quote, we walk by faith and not by sight, certainly defines Neptune in Aries. The Libra Full Moon (also called the Pink Moon) sensitizes your thoughts and ideas about life and spotlights how to manifest your spirituality into your lifestyle.

Other major energies unfolding this week are Mercury Stationary Direct (in Pisces); Venus Stationary Direct in Pisces.

Disappointingly – No to 2023

Having seen several episodes of the successful TV series, 1923 starring Harrison Ford and

Helen Mirren I still think the production and acting is great, however, it should be rated X due to the over-kill of sadistic sex scenes that appear more gratuitous than essential to portraying the story or purpose. It’s concerning that the producers have taken it that far when it was totally unnecessary so it makes one wonder, as many have, why? Reviews are as I saw it in that there was no purpose in the excessiveness when the point was clearly made that the man orchestrating the kidnappings and torture is a sadistic psychopath. Most of the very nice characters are being killed off. Something is wrong. Taylor Sheridan, one of the producers, born May 21, 1970 is under scrutiny for the questionable scenes. The ratings are great that makes me wonder how many are putting it all together in relation to the gratuitous invasion of something totally unnecessary and assaultive. Once seen it’s not easy to erase. One person state feeling ill after having seen the last episode and there are a number of others also stating the unnecessary extensiveness of something beyond entertainment and authentic meaning. Yes, the sadist as one of the “bad guys” will likely get his due justice but outside of that it’s too late to retrieve what has happened. It’s very complex and sophisticated in that the main stars are so great and all the others are as well great, the production is great so what’s happening? Brutality across the board is historically true but that was left by the wayside in favor of so much time and detail to a form of assaulting those who tuned in. The latest episode had so many killed that many fans have vowed to stop watching. So, in addition to the unnecessary sadism was the shock of one after another good souls murdered. Much in today’s world is a double-edged sword calling for each to have a clear grip on their solvency and moral structure. Radical misalignments are too commonplace that too easily twists perception. It’s good to see so many are aware of the perversion and assault on the audience.

As we move more into the Pluto reign in Aquarius there’s likely to be more subversion guised with sophistication and certain appeal that asks to accept it with a misaligned definition and pretentious purpose. We’ve just begun a 14 year cycle of Neptune in Aries that will affect to film and media industry and within that there’s likely to be a need to change as people think more independently and with scrutiny. The idea of dictatorship is fast fading and giving way to the greater insight of those who love the creativity of the field.
